We will collect your loved one from anywhere in mainland Great Britain with our discreet private ambulances.

3. How we care and prepare your loved one for cremation

Your loved one will be gently prepared for cremation. We respectfully bathe them and dress them in their own clothes, if you wish. Any artificial mechanisms, such as pacemakers, are removed. Your loved one is then laid carefully in the coffin and transported to the crematorium.

While our funeral team care for the deceased, your dedicated funeral arranger will help you with the practical arrangements and paperwork that must be completed following a death.

4. How the cremation will proceed

The funeral will take place at one of our 41 crematoriums located throughout the UK mainland. Each crematorium has a beautiful chapel and peaceful gardens.

The coffin will be brought to the front door of the chapel and carried in to rest on the catafalque. For an unattended service, a moment of silence or a piece of music of your choice will be observed. An attended service will be carried out as you have arranged with your dedicated funeral planner, including music, readings and tributes of your choice.

5. Delivery or scattering of the ashes

Each of our crematoriums features a beautiful garden of remembrance where you may choose to scatter or bury the ashes yourself or with the support of one of our caring team. We will be happy to help you with this process.

You may prefer to have your loved one's ashes hand-delivered to you by our team within 14 days of the cremation in an ashes container. We have a range of caskets, urns and keepsakes to choose from. We will call you to confirm a time, date and address for delivery. Don't worry, we'll work around you.

Whichever cremation you choose, our gardens offer tranquil spaces for remembering those no longer with us, which you are welcome to visit at any time.
