Every funeral service with Distinct Cremations is carried out with the utmost respect. No matter whether your loved one is having an attended or direct cremation service, our team will carry out their duty with dignity and distinction.
Each funeral takes place at one of our charming 41 crematoriums located throughout the UK mainland, and each crematorium has a beautiful chapel, peaceful gardens and is fully equipped with the latest technology.
During the service, the coffin will go through the front door of the chapel, will rest on the catafalque, and a moment of silence or a piece of music of your choice will be observed to create the most dignified and respectful send off.
Transporting the deceased to the crematorium
On the day of the cremation, our experienced funeral team will transport your loved one from our mortuary facilities in Cannock to the crematorium in a private ambulance.
Your loved one is escorted through the front door
Once at the crematorium, the coffin will be carried through the main entrance of the crematorium and laid to rest on the catafalque beside a photo of your loved one, if you wish. Our team will respectfully bow, step back and allow the service to take place.
The Service - Unattended Cremation
With our unattended cremation, you can have a piece of music played for the deceased before the cremation takes place or you can allow a moment of silence to be observed.
The Service - Attended Cremation
Our attended cremation differs slightly, but it all depends on how you want to personalise the service. Once the service begins, you may want to play a piece of music or deliver a eulogy. We also can play a slide show of images on a large screen. You have the freedom to arrange the service however you'd like.
The curtain is pulled across and cremation takes place
After the short service, the curtain is drawn in front of the coffin and the cremation will take place. Within 14 days of the cremation, the ashes will be hand-delivered to your family or scattered in our garden of remembrance.
