Your discount and an e-gift card with a funeral plan purchase - Promotion Terms & Conditions
- “We” or “Us” means Distinct Cremations. Distinct Cremations is a trading style of Distinct Funeral Plans Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Financial Services Register No. 965289. Registered in England No. 13366327. Registered office: Head Office Westerleigh Crematorium, Westerleigh Road, Westerleigh, Bristol, BS37 8QP. Part of the Westerleigh Group (“the Promotor”).
- ‘Purchaser’ means the person applying for and paying for the plan.
- “Application” means the electronic, paper or telephone voice-recorded request by you to take out a funeral plan.
- “Funeral Plan Agreement” means the written agreement between us once we have received your application.
- ‘Promotion’ means the offer by us, described in these Terms & Conditions.
The promotion
- A Purchaser has to be aged 18 or over to purchase a funeral plan with us.
- For a funeral plan Application received by us before the promotion end date of 31st October 2025, the purchaser will receive:
7.1. Where the Purchaser takes out a Direct Cremation Plan, they will receive a £100 discount on the plan price, taking the plan price to £1,799 and a £100 e-gift card
7.2. Where the Purchaser who takes out a Funeral Service Plan and opts for a 30-minute service will receive a £200 discount taking the plan price to £2,199 and a £100 e-gift card.
7.3. Where the Purchaser who takes out a Funeral Service Plan and opts for a 60-minute service will receive a £200 discount taking the plan price to £2,799 and a £100 e-gift card
- The Promotion only applies to plans paid in either a single payment or up to 12 monthly instalments. Plans paid for over 5 or 10 years are not eligible for a discount or e-gift card mentioned in point 7.
- The Promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other Promotion.
- The discount referenced will be applied at point of purchase. Once a plan has been in place for 90 days, we will send the Purchaser a unique link by email (using the email address we hold on record) to access the relevant e-gift card value for the plan purchased, via the GiftPay website. The e-gift card can be redeemed at numerous high street merchants including B&Q, M&S, John Lewis, all the big supermarkets and many more.
- When purchasing a plan, if the Purchaser intends for that plan to cover the funeral of someone else, the Purchaser will be entitled to the Promotion referenced in these Terms and Conditions, and not the person whose funeral is covered.
- Only one plan can be taken out to cover the Purchaser’s funeral. However, where the Purchaser takes out more than one plan to also cover someone else’s funeral, all plans in the Purchaser’s name will be eligible for the Promotion referenced in these Terms and Conditions.
- For any plan cancelled after 30 days, and refund due will be subject to a cancellation fee of £275 as per our Distinct Funeral Plan Terms and Conditions.
- No e-gift card will be sent if the Funeral Plan Agreement is cancelled within 90 days of activation by us.
- This Promotion can be withdrawn by us at any time.
- The e-gift card has no cash value, and we cannot take a further £100 or £200 off the price of a plan as an alternative.
- The e-gift card unique link is valid for 3 years, but once you have selected a participating merchant's e-gift card on the GiftPay website, the e-gift will be subject to their own terms and conditions.
- Once the e-gift card is redeemed by you by selecting a participating merchant's e-gift card on the GiftPay website, we take no liability for lost, misplaced, damaged or stolen gift cards.
- We may cancel the e-gift card Promotion should we discover, or have a reasonable suspicion to believe, that the terms of the Promotion are being abused.
- In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil your e-gift card Promotion, we will contact the Purchaser to let them know and discuss alternatives of equal value.
- The e-gift card Promotion is not open to employees or contractors of Distinct Cremations or any of its subsidiary companies.
- The Promotion ends 31st October 2025.
- These terms and conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
