Funeral Plan Customer - Refer a Friend Terms and Conditions

We have recently changed our Refer a Friend reward programme. The following Terms and Conditions apply for a plan purchased by a Recipient from 6 March 2026.

1. Definitions

We”, “Us” or “Our” means Distinct Cremations, a trading style of Distinct Funeral Plans Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Financial Services Register No. 965289). Registered in England and Wales No. 13366327. Registered Office: Head Office Westerleigh Crematorium, Westerleigh Road, Westerleigh, Bristol, BS37 8QP (the “Promoter”).

“Referrer” means an existing customer who holds an active funeral plan with Us at the time the referral is made and at the time any reward becomes payable.

“Recipient” means the individual person recommended by the Referrer who does not already hold a funeral plan with Us at the time of referral.

“Standard Price” means the full published price of the funeral plan with no promotional discount, price reduction, voucher, incentive or other campaign applied.

“Promotional Purchase” means any purchase where a discount, promotional code, price reduction, voucher or other incentive has been applied.

2. Eligibility and Referral Process

2.1 The Referrer must provide the Recipient with their unique funeral plan number prior to the Recipient contacting Us.

2.2 To qualify for this promotion, the Recipient must:

• Contact Us directly by telephone to purchase their funeral plan;

• Quote the Referrer’s full name and unique funeral plan number during that call; and

• Ensure the referral is declared and recorded by Us before the sale is concluded.

2.3 Referrals made via Our website, online forms or any channel other than a direct telephone purchase will not qualify.

2.4 Referral details provided after a funeral plan has been purchased or concluded will not be accepted. No retrospective claims will be honoured.

2.5 The Recipient must purchase the funeral plan in their own name and must be aged 18 or over.

2.6 The Recipient’s purchase must occur after the Referrer’s plan has been activated.

2.7 The Recipient must not have previously enquired with Us about a funeral plan.

3. Reward Structure

3.1 Where the Recipient purchases at Standard Price or Promotional Price, the Referrer will receive a £25 e-gift card.

3.2 The Recipient will receive no e-gift card.

3.3 Referral rewards cannot be combined with any other referral promotion unless expressly stated by Us.

4. One Reward Per Individual Recipient

4.1 The promotion operates on a per individual person basis, not per funeral plan.

4.4 A Referrer may only receive one reward.

4.2 Where a Recipient purchases more than one funeral plan (whether at the same time or subsequently), the Referrer reward will only be honoured for the first qualifying and activated plan.

5. Reward Fulfilment Conditions

5.1 The reward will be issued 90 days after the Recipient’s funeral plan has been activated by Us, provided:

• The Recipient’s plan remains active with no missed payments; and

• The Referrer’s plan remains active with no missed payments.

5.2 No reward will be issued if either plan is cancelled within 90 days of activation.

5.3 The reward will be delivered via a unique e-gift card link sent to the email address held on Our records.

5.4 The e-gift card:

• Has no cash value;

• Cannot be exchanged for cash;

• Cannot be applied as a discount against a funeral plan; and

• Is subject to the provider’s own terms and conditions.

6. Exclusions

6.1 This promotion is not open to employees, contractors, agents or representatives of Distinct Cremations, Distinct Funeral Plans Limited, or any subsidiary or associated company.

6.2 We reserve the right, acting reasonably, to withhold, refuse, cancel or recover any reward where:

• The referral process has not been strictly followed;

• The referral was not declared at the time of purchase;

• There is evidence of manipulation, artificial structuring of purchases, or deliberate circumvention of these Terms;

• Multiple plans are purchased to generate additional rewards;

• We reasonably suspect fraud, misconduct or abuse; or

• The promotion is being used in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.

6.3 Our decision regarding qualification and eligibility shall be final.

7. Consumer Protection and Fair Value

7.1 The availability of a referral reward does not affect the price, features or suitability of the funeral plan.

7.2 The decision to purchase a funeral plan should be based on the customer’s individual needs and circumstances and not on the availability of a referral reward.

8. General

8.1 We reserve the right to withdraw, amend or suspend this promotion at any time without prior notice, provided that such changes will not affect rewards already validly earned in accordance with these Terms.

8.2 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
