Our funeral plans guarantee your acceptance, with no medical questions or additional costs for the elderly or those with pre-existing medical conditions. However, for funeral plans payable over 5 or 10 years we incur additional administration expenses for collecting the monthly instalments and for the purchase and administration of a “whole of life” policy from Scottish Friendly - an authorised and regulated insurance provider.

A direct cremation funeral plan lets you choose and pay for an unattended funeral ahead of time. Planning your own funeral protects your family from funeral costs and ensures your wishes are known for the type of funeral you'd like. If you know you'll be the one making funeral arrangements for someone else in future, you can take out a funeral plan for them for peace of mind.

When the time comes we'll carry out every part of the process and deliver the ashes to your family at no extra cost. Our funeral plans include cremation, fees, collection, care, return of the ashes and much more. Yes, you can pay for your funeral plan in 12 monthly instalments or over 5 or 10 years. Terms & conditions apply.

While we can’t arrange the celebration for you we can provide funeral guidance if needed.

Yes, single payments and instalments up to 12 months are held in a secure Trust which is managed by independent trustees. For 5 & 10 year instalment plans we purchase a “whole of life” policy from Scottish Friendly - an authorised and regulated insurance provider. The proceeds of that policy will be used to pay for your chosen cremation at the time of need.

You’ll typically receive your documents within five working days of taking out the plan.

We take pride in offering the deceased a dignified send-off. While in our care we wash their body, wash and comb their hair and dress them before the cremation.

We’ll keep the deceased dressed in the same clothes they were wearing when they entered our care unless otherwise requested. If you’ve got a specific outfit you’d like them to wear, just let us know and provide it prior to the cremation.

Very pleased to recommend this company. A difficult subject was made much easier to organise with the help of a very caring lady via a phone call. Within 30 minutes everything was arranged for my husband and I and the funeral plans arrived in the post a few days later. A follow up call a week later was also welcome , just to check all was correct in the plan.

Excellent customer service. A couple of weeks ago I arranged mine and my husband's cremations with Distinct Cremations. It was a very easy process to do. A young lady called Leah, led my through the process with reasssurance, kindness and professionalism. All of my questions were answered fully, everything explained in detail and all of my requests were met. 10 days later I received a phone call to make sure the paper work had arrived, that everything was correct and to check if I had any further questions. Exemplary customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Distinct Cremations to anyone wanting to plan their funerals at a very reasonable cost.

After researching various companies I recently decided to sign up with Distinct Cremations for a payment plan for myself and am very satisfied with my choice. Both my parents had plans with Distinct Cremations and both have now died. In both instances the service I received was considerate, prompt and made things as simple as possible. I was talked through the necessary paperwork, which involved the coroner in one instance, and was kept fully informed throughout the entire process up to and after the cremation. A plan with Distinct Cremations took away a lot of admin and decision making and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
