Yes you can have a cremation without a ceremony. This is known as unattended or direct cremation and it is an affordable option for anyone who wishes his loved one to be cremated without the fuss of a full funeral service.

While we endeavour to cremate the deceased as soon as possible following the service this isn't always possible. However, the cremation is always completed with 24-hours of arrival at the crematorium. Learn more about how long after death is a cremation.

Yes - if you’ve taken out a funeral plan by paying a lump sum or paid over 12 monthly instalments and wish to upgrade it to a higher-tier plan at a later date, you’re more than welcome to. All you have to do is pay the remaining difference in price. However, for 5 or 10 year instalment plans, you are not able to upgrade your plan once you have begun paying, you would instead have to start a new plan.

While it’s entirely your choice who you want to tell, we recommend that you nominate a family member, or friend, as your executor. To help them understand your plans more, executor information is available.

You can also include your plan’s information in your will, however we don’t recommend this as the will is not typically read until after the funeral which could lead to the information being missed.

If you’ve lost your plan documents, all you need to do is get back in touch with us and we can arrange for replacements to be sent out to you.

For plans payable over 5 or 10 years we incur additional administration expenses for collecting the monthly instalments and for the purchase and administration of a “whole of life” policy with Scottish Friendly. If you die after 12 months of the start of your plan, but before you have paid all your instalments, there is nothing more to pay.

No - We use unvarnished veneered chipboard coffins.

There are lots of things you can do with the ashes. Many people scatter ashes in a place that was special to the deceased, some keep them in an urn as a keepsake and others have recently started to have ashes turned into jewellery or glass.

We offer the highest levels of support and service but don't take our word for it read why our customers trust us.

Perfect plan for us.both.
