Arranging a funeral with Distinct Cremations is simple. Contact us any time, and we’ll guide you through the process, from collecting the deceased to completing all necessary paperwork and arranging the cremation.

A simple funeral can be either unattended or attended with the option of a 30 or 60 minute service. What makes a funeral simple is freedom from formal conventions or ceremonial extravagances, excluding unwanted pomp and ceremony.

An expensive and elaborate funeral may be right for some, but for many people, a simple personal send-off that reflects your loved one’s wishes can be the most meaningful way to say goodbye.

Call us on 01543 212000 for more information or to begin your funeral arrangements.

There can occasionally be restrictions on scattering ashes in certain locations. If you’ve got a specific location in mind, it’s best to speak to someone associated with that destination before making your decision.

A cremation is a type of funeral where the body of the deceased is burned and turned into ashes rather than buried. Learn more about cremation and see if it is right for you.

The cheapest way to be cremated in the UK is with a direct cremation which takes place without a funeral service or mourners in attendance and starts from just £1,350 with Distinct Cremations if you need a funeral today.

If you are paying for your plan in up to 12 instalments, your nominated representative will need to pay the outstanding amount due.

If you are paying over 5 or 10 years and death occurs after 12 months and your monthly instalments are up to date, no further payment will need to be made.

If you are paying over 5 or 10 years and death occurs within 12 months of the start date of your plan, your nominated representative will need to pay the difference between the amount already paid and the single payment plan price at the time you took out your plan. If death occurs within 12 months of the start date of the plan as the result of accidental death, no further payment will need to be made.

We will provide a qualified celebrant or officiant from our approved network to conduct the funeral service. The celebrant cost is included as part of our Funeral Service Plan.

If the person arranging the funeral would like a specific celebrant, we might be able to cover the cost of this too, but there may be additional fees to pay directly to the celebrant if they are not part of our network.

I was nervous about an unattanded cremation but there was no need. From the time my husband passed away to after the delivery of his ashes to me in time for Christmas everything was handled with so much kindness and compassion and quiet efficiency. I was reticent about not seeing him laid out but I had valuable and more meaningful time with him at home before he was collected. The Funeral Directors who collected him were amazing, affording my husband the care and dignity he deserved, and making sure they knew what I wanted for him. They even asked if I would like to walk in front of the vehicle with one of them which was a lovely touch. I have my own unattended cemation plan and now I have experienced this I feel reassured that when the time comes my family will be looked after. Thank you Distinct Cremations.

They’re absolutely amazing so helpful and supportive all the way along, I recently lost my dad and he chose this sort of cremation. Nothing is too much trouble for them. My dad was cremated in Essex and they brought his ashes all the way to Wales. Maxine, the lady who was supporting me was just one in 1 million always there to listen always there to help. A big thank you to all of you, Tracy.**

Both my parents died within the last 2 years, and I used Direct Cremations' services for each, helped with utmost kindness by Maxine. Communication throughout was excellent and sensitive, I thought price was reasonable, and the delivery of the ashes was carried out with dignity. I found the virtual memorial service we were able to take up for my mother extremely moving, and only wish it had been able to be offered when my father passed, but it is a lovely addition to the range of services offered. I'm very glad I happened upon Distinct Cremations.

My mother decided she wanted a simple cremation after her death to lesson the burden placed upon me, as my brother and father had already passed away. She chose Distinct Cremations & paid for her funeral when she was alive and well. My mum sadly passed away recently & I was left to deal with all the associated responsibilities which understandably proved upsetting & emotionally stressful. The only thing that provided some comfort was the professional & sympathetic way that Distinct Cremations handled my mother’s funeral. A lovely lady by the name of Sarah Miller personally oversaw every detail needed for my mum’s final wishes & it was a pleasure speaking with Sarah at a time of great sadness. I can’t recommend any higher than that of District Cremations, with the dignity & understanding provided by them at a time when it is truly needed. RIP mum x
