The coffin is burned with the body of the deceased inside the cremator.

All of the necessary services required for your cremations are in your initial costs. However, on occasion, there may be additional costs. You can read the full list of additional services for more information.

The cremation service will take place Monday to Friday. When the time comes, our compassionate team will liaise between the person arranging the funeral and the chosen crematorium to find a suitable date and time.

You can, and it can make things easier and less stressful for when the time comes. If a loved one is suffering from a life limiting ailment, the dying person may want to be involved in their own funeral arrangements. Whilst our funerals can be arranged without needing to visit any physical premises, we have a nationwide network of 42 crematoriums so can provide flexibility in where our attended cremations are held.

Attended cremation costs vary between direct cremation providers, but the average attended cremation cost in the UK is £3,980.* At Distinct Cremations, our prices for an affordable Funeral Service start at just £1,899.

Unfortunately we can’t transfer funeral plans from a different company to ourselves. However, you can simply cancel your existing funeral plan and take out a new one with us if you want to.

Tracy was excellent. Arranging and buying a cremation for yourself is quite an emotional act and Tracy was so understanding and patient. I thought I knew what option I wanted from the start but she was willing to explain other options to me. I never felt that I was being coerced into making a decision. In fact she suggested I mull over it for a few days first. Once I had confirmed my choice Tracy was kind enough to arrange that my cremation will be held at Westerleigh. I know the place and it is comforting to me now to know where I will end up. Tracy agreed to send me a hard copy of my cremation details as well as the email confirmation and to call me ten days after my payment, which she did. Excellent service and thank you very much.

Amazing service from the start. Dad already had his plan in place, this company demonstrated excellent customer service from the start of my difficult phone call. They always referred to my father as 'dad' and kept me well informed all from obtaining the death certificate, layed to rest, collection to cremation and arranged delivery of ashes on a day it suited me. Excellent service, I would highly recommend. We are both going to sort out our plans after Christmas.

Anyone who has lost someone they love deeply will understand how difficult it can be to arrange a fitting farewell to them. Right from the beginning Distinct Cremation were outstanding in their thoughtfulness and kindness and swiftly dealt with any requests from us. Everyone I spoke to was more than helpful and in particular Grace and Alice. Nothing was a problem to them and I felt that they were always just a call away. My family members were greeted with compassion at the Crematorium and the excellent team there had been briefed properly by Distinct Cremation about our wishes. The ceremony was greatly comforting for us all. From myself and my family I thank you everyone at Distinct Cremation.

I had been thinking of planning my funeral for a while but couldn't afford it. I'd seen an advert for distinct cremations and went for it, I applied online (so easy to do) and spread the cost over 5 years. So now my family doesn't have to plan anything or find silly amounts of money. Best thing I've done in a few years. Thank you distinct cremations.

The contact at the centre Maxine was very nice and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The delivery of David's ashes was in keeping with the service.
