A direct cremation is a simple fuss-free cremation without a funeral service. Having no mourners attend the cremation reduces the costs and stress of arranging a traditional funeral.
For many, a direct cremation allows them to separate the cremation from the celebration of the deceased’s life, allowing them a dignified opportunity to say goodbye in a way that better suits them.
At Distinct Cremations, we handle all the direct cremation arrangements, from collecting your loved one to returning their ashes, to make things even easier.
Upon arranging a funeral, once you’ve agreed the type of service that you’d like, one of our Customer Service Specialists will take the payment in full, which can be made by credit or debit card.
Our no fuss funerals start at £1,199 for a direct cremation without mourners or a service. Attended cremations begin at £1,599 for up to 8 people attending a 10-minute service. Prices vary based on the service options you choose.
There’s no limit on how many people can attend a wake, only as many as the organiser and venue are comfortable with.
Our funeral plan was rated 5 star by Fairer Finance, a leading independent reviewer of consumer finance.
The cost of a green funeral will differ between providers. However, if you’re looking for a low-cost, eco-friendly funeral, a green direct cremation is the most affordable option on the market.
If you’re planning ahead, you could opt for either an unattended cremation plan, from £1,699, or an attended cremation plan{, starting at £2,099, and add our Go Greener option for an additional £100. With payment plans ranging from a single payment to 10 years, you can look after the environment and your finances.
The FSCS is an independent service set up by the UK government to protect consumers when a financial firm fails. For example, if Distinct Cremations were to go out of business, the FSCS will protect every person who has taken out a plan with Distinct Cremations and provide them with a choice of a replacement funeral plan from a regulated provider or cash compensation.
Different people can register a death including a relative, a friend, an official from the hospital where the death occurred, the owner or staff in a care home or someone who was present at the death.
